Our seed collection is open to the public and reflects the dynamic
and innovative nature of contemporary art, and of Saint Kate itself. The
collection features art of all materials from local, regional,
national, and international artists. Our collecting focus balances the
display of emerging and established contemporary artists. Their work
challenges traditional notions and boundaries of art by using unusual
materials and proposing thoughtful questions. The art at Saint Kate
explores what it means to be human: finding our identity, accessing the
past, and creating opportunities to connect with others. Our feature
exhibitions build on these themes and effectively keep a pulse on what
contemporary artists are making right now.
